BTCCSquare news:

A new advocacy campaign is flooding airwaves with urgent messages against including decentralized finance (DeFi) in upcoming crypto legislation. The group 'Investors For Transparency' is running prime-time ads on Fox News, warning of systemic risks and mobilizing viewers to pressure senators ahead of a critical January 15, 2026 committee vote.

The ads cite a contentious $6.6 trillion figure representing potential bank deposit displacement by interest-bearing stablecoins. Viewers are directed to call Senate offices through displayed hotlines, specifically targeting the CLARITY Act's DeFi provisions. This eleventh-hour push comes as lawmakers prepare to mark up the landmark crypto market structure bill.
